Lowcountry of SC... Stolen F250

Bad day for me yesterday.. My 03 F250 was stolen from my house. Paid for but only covered under liability since its not my daily driver and used only to pull my boat with or work around the house.. There goes a 18ishK truck and about another 5k in mods.

Everybody in the Charleston, SC tricounty area be aware though, there has been 20ish F250/350's stolen in the last 2 months. My truck was definitely a targeted truck. You couldnt miss it... Lifted, white, black wheels, loud, and sexy. I stayed at my girlfriends place that night, and my roommate left the house around 1030 PM and didnt get back home til around 1. Truck went missing during that time, so they probably had been watching the house for a while and seized the oppurtunity. I am gone quite a bit in my daily driver, but my roommate is home most of the time after 8 or so.

SC license plate.. BMD 784. White 03 King Ranch CCSB, 8" lift, Black 20" Rockstars w Kumho Mud Tires, Clemson Paw sticker on the rear window in the middle, Duck head sticker on right side of rear window, and Salt life sticker on left side of rear window. Loud! 6" pipe!

Makes me want to install some kind of a switch that's hard to bypass.

Sent from my SGSIII running a custom ROM.

What's this word coming to? Really sorry that happened hope you find it.

I've been thinking of putting a really heavy duty relay or a contactor before my starter then hiding a switch somewhere to disable the starter. To prevent this, you here about stolen vehicles more and more these days.

No luck on the truck and at this point seems like a total loss... I have been out of the country for work for 6 weeks, and havent heard much from the police. Some local chatter though is there has been 25ish stolen in the 843 area code of SC, and supposably they are being pushed out west to Nevada to a chop shop out there... Be aware, and if anyone in the NV/CA/UT/OR/AZ/ID area knows of anything fishy or an influx of F250 parts on the market let me know please.

Thanks.

Matt
