Turbo fart

I just heard the turbo fart for the first time. It only did it for a couple minutes when it was warming up and won't do it anymore. I thought it was really strange that I'd never heard it before, though.

Is there some certain set of circumstances where it does it?

this usually happens when you are under full throttle and let off the throttle rapidly.
when you are under boost and suddenly let off, the boost suddenly has nowhere to go and goes back thru the intake and backspins the turbo. that is the sound you hear.

I was worried there was something wrong because I've never heard it before. It definitely wasn't anywhere near full throttle. The truck was still cold, so I never took the truck past 1/6 throttle or 2000 RPM. Every time I would lift off the throttle, I would hear the turbo fart for about 2 minutes, and then it went away.

I've never heard it at full throttle even running Looney.

2 minutes ! ! ! ! that is not a turbo fart. turbo fart is for only a second or two and is usually a series of 2-3 "barks" coming thru the intake. usually only hear them with an a/m intake. and they happen more often when you are running a programmer it seems like.
2 minutes !! what exactly is the sound you are hearing. try to be real specific about what it sounds like, and what are the circumstances when you hear it .

No, it didn't do it constantly. It only did it every time I lifted off the throttle and it stopped doing it after I drove for a couple minutes and it warmed up a little. It sounded just like the turbo fart video that was posted a couple months ago.
