Lots of questions.....

I hope you guys don't get tired of a newbie diesel owner asking so many questions. I'd like some feedback on what oils you guys run in your 6.0's. Also can someone tell me how many fuel filters I have and how often they should be changed? What about fuel additives? Any advice out there. Thanks guys!

Happy Strokin!

We don't mind questions at all

I just use the motocraft oil and filters -- other than that, LOTS of people swear by AMSOIL

I think the 6.0L has two filters -- one on the rail and one around the engine... but I could definately be wrong on that as I have a 7.3

There will be plenty of others that jump in here to give ya an opinion

Two fuel filters...see this link

I use Rotella T but am about to switch to Amsoil.
Everyone has a different opinion on the best fuel additive but anything to add lubrication back into the fuel will be good, Lucas, Stanydine...etc.
I use 8 oz of new vegitable oil as a lubricant in my fuel.

2003 6.0 F350 dually on high cholesterol fuel (WVO)
2000 7.3 Excursion also on a high cholesterol fuel
