Too Many Miles?
Hey guys. So im looking at selling my 12valve again and finding a PSD. I missed out on a killer obs f350 a few months ago and since then ive been looking for another. Well I came across a nice 03 f350 crew cab long bed lariat. 6inch lift and 37s. Really good shape. Heres the kicker, its got 241,000 miles on it. Its all stock and just had 8 new injectors And new egr cooler put in. It runs perfect and the miles are from trips to California from Utah. It has no problems and has had religious services at Ford dealership and is a two owner truck. Pretty much all I'd plan on doing to the truck is egr delete, straight pipe, intake, gauges and lower to 4inches on 35's. My dad has an 04 with 150,000 on it and I love the truck. Were abouT to do deletes and everything on his truck so if I get this ill do it at the same time. I'm pretty familiar with the 6.0 but I'm no expert. Im asking 11k for my dodge and the Ford owner is asking 10k.

I just bought mine with 220k and it runs great. The truck was SUPER clean, no stains and only a slight tear on the drivers seat on the inside and only 3 tiny dings on the outside. If its well maintained then I wouldn't worry about a thing. Just do some research on the forums on what to look for mechanical wise. I budgeted enough to add to the cost of the truck a new oil cooler, egr delete and exhaust. Good luck with the buy!

I love this forum I always get quick reply's
It is in very good shape. I guess it has one or two tears in the driver seat but has some nice seat covers in there now. It has the gray leather and I really dig it. Not a fan of the tan leather in my dad's 04. And if it has any body damage it's nothing major and the paint looks really good. 240,000 miles really wouldn't concert me with anything else, but there is always the people hatin' on the 6.0's. And the bad stories can get to a guy. I personally love them, but I know they have their problems.

Read this.....What to look for when buying a used 6.0L
10k is a little steep, I think. Is it 4x4? Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get. |

Yes 4x4. I think it can be bought for less but not too much. I think 10k is a pretty good deal already. Providing there really is no problems. And thanks for the link. I read that about a year ago when my dad bought his and checked everything.

Just as a comparison, I got an 04 kr,cc,swb,4x4, with no mods, 168k. The oil cooler was clogged(i didn't know it), an a injector failed right after I got it. $13k, I wished I would have gotten it for less, but I'm happy. I'm slowly getting it right, cts, blue spring update, coolant filter, hfcm drain plug, new injector. Oil cooler, fuel pressure, oil pressure guages, tires, to come.

I got my '03 for $10.5K with 153K miles. I'd haggle a good bit, start low.
