Powermax turbo

Getting ready to buy a powermax...

Exhaust and SCT tuned by Eric is all I have now.

How much power will this give with what I have?


Don't drive it much and I'm towing it to a shop the first week of feb for egr delete, oil cooler, studs, head gaskets, and the heads will be machined at this time as well.

Gonna break anything before feb of I smack this turbo on without studs?

I would recommend changing your turbo option to Adrian's Stage 1 turbo.


Adrain has a company (Mad turbo Werks) and specializes in turbos that have been proven to outperform the powermax and are a great option for 6.0 builds... Mild to WILD

The PowerMax is old technology. Mad Turbo Werks is where its at! Adrian truly does great work. All of his turbos are custom built by hand!

Plus I believe the Stage 1 (which is better than the PowerMax) is cheaper than the PowerMax

You will have no problem with that tuejo without studs!
It has been tested on stock tuned and OEM bolts and runs/tows like a champ!

What numbers have been posted up for the Stage 1?? Last I recall MTW isn't "custom" made either since he stopped using Dmax parts???

A Stage 1 is a rebuilt turbo...Pmax is new out the box. Apples and Oranges.

also right now the Powermax has good custom tunes since it has been around awhile. The MTW stage 1,2, hybrid have not been live tuned yet so even tho they work good they will get better once someone live tunes them. Now the mtw stage 3 has been live tunes and atleast one tuner has a good handle on it. That was one of the things that I based my decision on. even tho the Pmax might not be the best it is tried and true with tunes out for it. Over time or soon the all of the MTW turbos should be the same way.... but how long will you have to wait... I personally have no issues with my pmax batmo turbo at all but I will say the batmo helped it out.
