Lund grill inserts truck running hotter?
I have chrome lund grill inserts (not a cold front) but the hiles are smaller than stock grill. This was on the truck when I bought it. Anyways I have been watching the temps when towing and on flat ground with the air temps around 85, 65mph tow haul mode on towing 8000lbs my temps are running 205-218 ECT and 208-225 EOT so my deltas are good but it just seems to be running hotter than other posts that I have read. The fan is kicking in and out more than I would like. Was thinking maybe the grill insert is slowing the air going into the radiator? Running empty same conditions I am 195-205 and 196-208 (normal delta stays about 4 degrees)

Remove grill inserts and do a test so you can compare your numbers. Good chance it's getting less airflow and causing increased temperatures. Almost like a winter front.

Temps seem fine to me...but, yeah, pull the inserts and see if they are different. I see very similar temps pulling my 8K TT.
