Turbo Help
I had a Power Max turbo installed three month ago, I run SCT turner and tried different tunes in come with and i an currently using the Street tune...Turbo seem to work when it wants too... sometimes it works fine when i start in the morning and the next day it doesn't...20 minutes later it will work for about 10 minutes and then quits...Seems to have a mind of its own..When it is working every time I let off the gas it does the turbo fart...And when its not working and i keep my foot to the floor trying to get it to kick in, about 2500 rpms it does the turbo fart thing and i let off...Need some help...Thanks in advance...Mike

Sounds more like a tuning issue versus the turbo. Maybe swap back to stock to see if the problem still exists. Additionally the SCT "canned" tunes are not the best choice for tuning files. Try Truck Source Diesel, Gearhead, or Quick Tricks for some new tuning files.
I will even suggest you try some FICM tuning from PHP as well. Solid tuning with excellent down low grunt. |

Have you checked for codes? It definitely sounds like a programing issue to me as well. Was the sct programmed for that turbo? Your really gonna need to watch out here because you could mess up your truck with over boosting if your not careful. I'm sure you have a monitoring solution correct.

One code P2262... I'm using the SCT canned tunes, I have tried switching between tunes with little effect...Truck has been running great for the past 3 month with tunes from SCT, this just started a couple days ago...Had the Turbo installed at BulletProof diesel, (along with oil cooler, EGR, HPOP at different times), called them and there next available appointment is the 19th of this month...Just trying to fix this problem myself now...
