oil screen in HPOP

I have my motor a part replacing the the oil cooler and EGR . I see the oil screen is no where to be found other than the frame ? It must have just ran threw the HPOP ? The motor seems to run Ok before I started to replace the oil cooler . Has anyone else ran into this ? thanks Dave

That doesn't sound good! I would definitely pull the HPOP out and look for remnants.

Pull the HPOP and check the IPR screen if it is ripped then change the HPOP.

Correct, its the High pressure oil pump. Depending on the year of your truck you might as well replace the STC fitting on the HPOP while youre in there.
