Almost no power

So the last few days my truck has been getting worse and worse. It will come from a dead stop like a bat out of h3ll but after that I can hold the peddle down to the floor and it won't hardly do anything more. No codes no smoke and I just changed all my filters in late June. I suspect fuel pressure but I currently have no way to monitor it. Help a brotha out! I know I'm not the only on who has had this problem I just can't find the answers.

My early '04 had those symptoms about a month before "no start when hot" showed up. Ended up being a HPOP getting weak from a small leak, until the leak got big enough for the "no start when hot".

Wouldn't that throw a code because the injectors wouldn't be firing? I hope that's not it.

Is there a way to check fuel pressure without a gauge. My brother inlaw is a mechanic but doesn't know much about diesels he does have all the scanners and tools though.

Ok so we got HPOP as one. How much is it for a new one? How do you verify that's what it is? Might as well get the turbo cleaned if it's coming out.

I think I paid $580 at the local dealer.Had the old one in hand so I didn't have to pay the core fee.I think Tousleys quoted me $518+core & whatever shipping would have been
I figure a hpop inmy hand that day for a lil more $$$ was better than waiting a week to get it shipped.
Replacment isn't the worst thing I've done.I did it all in 4 days working several hours each day between running my business and my part time job.

Hook it up too a scanner and see what the hpop is putting out. Veins in the turbo may be sticking also.
