alt issue

ive gotta 06 f-250 4x4 ccsb 6.0l. ive been havin issues with the alternater i replaced it with one from discount auto its a 110 amp ho and i got two yellow top optimas but when i go to starter up i got a volt meter gauge and it reads 11.3v after alittle while warmin up it will read 14.2v but when im drivin it reads 13.5 i know i might have a draw some where in the fuse panel under the dash but what ever is drawing its like a 2amp draw and the batts wont keep a charge at all should i get a bigger alt or is the 110 good im also runnin a 7'' sony cd/dvd player and 2 jl w3s with 1500 watt amp and 800 watt mids amp. i know i have to find the draw first but was wonderin about the alt and batts

Noone here has had luck with the optimas. That is your problem. Get rid of them before you damage ficm, alternator, and injectors.

That I'm not sure about that, i'm about to change mine. I' ve got the walmart batteries in mine right now, they are five years old. I bought it with those, I might go back with the same. Alot of guys are saying duralast gold, thats a bit pricey.

I use duralast golds from AZ, I've had really good luck with them in all my vehicles.
