can a hypertech be reprogramed to work on a 7.3

i have a hypertech max energy programer for my 2006 6.0 that i have replaced with a H&S mini maxx. replaced it so i could monitor temps. but my buddy has a 7.3 and we were wondering if it could be reprogramed to work with his 7.3

The unit would have to be sent in here for an exchange. We will exchange the unit for 200.00. Call our tech dept to get an rga to send back.
