Need t-stat help

Hey I need some help. I just replaced the t-stat on this rig about 2 weeks ago and now the t-stat opens at 184. I put a motor craft t-stat in and it went out that quick. I'm thinking about going with a different name brand. Any suggestions? I'm looking for aftermarket part. Thanks

Yor coolant temp sensor could be off by that much. I wouldn't worry much about it personally.

I'm sure your temp sensor is suspect.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

You all never fail. I went out this morning to check my eot and ect split. My eot was 86.9 and my ect was 79. That is weird that the sensor would go out that quick. It read fine last week and on Friday it was off.
I know it is no big deal but does the ecu use that ect input to turn the cooling fan on or am I getting paranoid. Thanks again for the help.
