EGR Delete vs EGR Block Off

I know ultimately it will be the same effect but are there any pros and cons to each one? Any help i can get will be great. I am also looking for a lower cost fix due to just having bought a house and my truck is going in Tuesday for injectors and oil cooler.

Just do it, unless you have the rediculous emissions testing, only downside is late model ecm strategies seem to jack with the cooling fan. You may need a tuner to turn off the light.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

I welded the cooler shut for the cost of my time and the wire used to do it. Of couse I was already in there for a turbo cleaning so I paid to have the intake cleaned as well.

I live in Cali, so I tack welded my EGR valve closed, reinstalled it, plugged in a new EGR valve and ziptied it in the engine valley. No EGR gas circulation Cheap, easy, and simple to reverse.

So every 2 years for testing, I just pop out the old welded one and put in the plugged in newer one.

Yes I do have a check engine light
Yes my fan works just as it did before
Yes it helped with throttle response (less lag, quicker spool up)

$1.50 to block the cooler off with freeze plugs that are in my sig... with that in mind, if I had to do it again I would just pony up the cash for the delete because wrestling the cooler & manifold together back into the truck sucked pretty bad while making sure to line the stupid gaskets up.
