list of tunes and where to get them?

Extreme Street, Extreme Race tunes from Eric @ Innovative Diesel Performance sales@innovativediesel.com

Options available are: Aggressive Tow/Haul Mode, Turbo/Exhaust Braking, Pilot Injection(n/a on some Ford Reflashes), Firm Shifts, Continuous Convertor Lock when decelerating, Convertor Lock in 2nd gear up
Economy - Mileage program only.

Stock - self explaining-

Heavy tow - 20rwhp less than tow -

Tow - 310rwhp/560rwtq- Towing over 10k lbs up to the maximum of the truck.

Street - 380rwhp/650rwtq- Tow up to 10k lbs

Aggressive street - 400rwhp/700rtwq. good to 7600#lbs tow

xtreme street - 415rwhp/730rwtq- Not recommended for towing.

xtreme race - 425rwhp/760rwtq - Converter locked in all gears.

xtreme x - 440rwhp/780rwtq - Race tune for IDP Flashed FICM. This program can be used on a stock ficm which will still add power and response.-




Looney, Looney Wild tunes from Vivian at Quicktricks Auto vivian@quicktricksauto.com

Economy - is designed for bumper-to-bumper traffic to reduce turbo lag. You can save between 2-4 mpg. (40rwhp)

Economy Only - We have found that most people get the best fuel mileage from our Looney tune, as long as they are not always on the pedal. This file is designed in the image of the Looney but does not contain performance parameters. You can save 3-6 mpg. With this file you cannot tow at all. (40-50rwhp)

Transmission Only File - We do not recommend towing more than 10,000 with a file, any file or anybody's file. This file is the alternative. With the transmission shifting properly you will feel the truck to be stronger (+/- 20hp).

Tow - is designed for pulling. A normal tow file is about 50hp, when aggressive can range between 65-75. We can also add jake brake to any tow file. This feature works with the exhaust back pressure in your truck and you must have your tow-haul on when pulling weight but don't need to turn tow-haul on if not towing.

Street - is designed for highway driving. It's drivability parameters are intensified for ease in passing and maintaining higher speeds for longer periods of time. (90-120rwhp)

Looney - is designed for daily driving. We've been told it shifts better than stock and as long as you are not always on the pedal, you will save FUEL! It is the highest daily tune that we will send via the net without physically tuning your truck. (130-160rwhp)

Looney Wild - 20-30 hp more than the Looney but we only offer to customers with aftermarket headstuds.

Looney Wild Track - Same horsepower as the Looney Wild but you don't need headstuds to run this file since it is NOT a daily driver file. It is only for racing and competition pulling. Basically what we do is take away a lot of the drivability to give you more power to the ground.


SRL, SRL + from Matt @ Gearhead Automotive Performance matt@gearheadautomotiveperformance.com

Street Race Lite (SRL) - Awesome daily driver file (no towing) with butt kicking response, low smoke, and outrageous power. The best shifting all-around street file on the market period! Typical gains of 1-3 MPG have also been reported with this file.

Studded SRL (SRL+) - The one up to SRL for studded trucks. Simply adds boost over SRL for 10-15 more HP and 50-60 more FT/LBS of torque.

8000 Lb Tow (8K Tow) - This tow file is rated for 8000 pounds of towing without being studded. Studded trucks can tow 13000 pounds with this file.

Unlimited Tow - Since this file maintains stock fuel parameters, it can tow whatever you want while giving better shift firmness than stock.

Innovative diesel tunes with ID's estimated power taken from there site on each tune. I also use ID's moderate FICM tune (40hp) all my tunes are in a vxcf9nz due to being more driver friendly with less smoke over the vxcf4ng.

Economy - Mileage program only. -my Opinion: ok power off idle but less topend power than stock.... I would use this tune if I took the truck to get worked on at a none ford dealer.

Stock - self explaining-my Opinion: stock power but I have it with egr disabled and enable for the Powermax I use this tune only when towing

Heavy tow - 20rwhp less than tow -my Opinion: good power that is inbetween of the stock and tow. you can pull up to what the truck could physicaly pull.

Tow - 310rwhp/560rwtq- Towing over 10k lbs up to the maximum of the truck.-my Opinion:nice tow or DD tune , I;ve used it with brake and non brake. brake is nice when going down mountain and a load. Brake only seems to function when in tow/haul mode

Street - 380rwhp/650rwtq- Tow up to 10k lbs-my Opinion:when I had the stock turbo,stock filter,stock IC, I used this tune as my DD and I got 16mpg combined and 21hwy

Aggressive street - 400rwhp/700rtwq. good to 7600#lbs tow-my Opinion:My current DD tune, has off idle like the x street but with street maners of the street tune. I've towed 7000lbs with no issues and egts stayed below 1100*F on hills with my current setup in my sig

xtreme street - 415rwhp/730rwtq- Not recommended for towing.-my Opinion: nice high power street tune but I don't use it because of having to switch tunes if towing.

For those of us who have actually run these tunes, could we add a little commentary about how they run?

Matt's SRL for my 05 Excursion. The power is great. My son and I laughed out loud when I first stomped on it. I did find it to be a little flat on low rpm, part throttle. 16.8 mpg hwy for me

SCT: good power and smoother than SRL. 16.7 mpg hwy for me

Matt's tow (not heavy tow): Didn't seem to have the part throttle flatness. Good drivability. Significantly less power than the SRL. Still working on getting a good mileage number.

I've run innovatives tow and xtreme street with my stock injectors and turbo and loved it. Currently running xtremestreet with their ficm tuning with upgraded turbo and injectors, have no complaints at all. Love the power and the way the tune runs everything

Eric's Extreme Street: Powerful Throughout, lock the TC at about 55-60MPH great driveability!

Matt's SRL: Drives good except it locked the TC WAY too early... at 45MPH and lugs the engine down and won't downshift. smokes out everyone and requires alot of throttle to keep going that speed! We couldn't get it to do anything different with revised tunes (about 5 versions)

This is a common issue i've heard about... But some people like that it doesn't downshift for every passing attempt on the highway. Just not me!
