How bad is it?

Total noob... 2003 f350 4x4 CC. Towing loaded 3-horse last night. Loss of power and note that if I let it fall to idle, oil pressure drops to ZERO. Hard starting last night as well. Thought also heard like a 'shhhhhh' sound sometimes from passenger side. Limped it to a friends place.....

Zero oil psi sounds like the LPOP system has issues. Could be a failing LPOP. Stuck open anti-drain valve under oil filter.

What brand name oil filter are you running? Have you checked for codes?

Here is a trouble shoot guide.

Sometimes, an HPOP (high pressure oil pump) failure can be sufficient enough to cause your symptoms and to cause the oil gauge (low pressure oil) to not register a pressure.

Diagnosis - it's the HPOP. Gonna have them do the EGR delete as well while they are in there.
