Pasedena Diesel: Maryland Shop Recommendation

I had my í05 Excursion bulletproofed at Pasedena Diesel a couple weeks ago and I just want to let everyone know what a great experience I had. They were recommended by someone else here on the forum, so I went over to their shop and discussed my options with Bob the owner. I ended up doing a new oil cooler, studs and even replaced the HPOP while I was at it. I got lucky and they were able to get me in the following week. I dropped it off Monday morning and if it wasnít for UPS delaying the head stud delivery, I would have had it that Friday. But it was ready on Monday, just one week after I dropped it off. While it was getting worked on, they were in touch with me several times regarding the progress and they even took pictures for me and gave me copies. Bob is great. No BS, no nickel and diming, and great customer service (even after the sale). And the price for the work was very fair (I would say well on the low side). So even though itís about a half hour drive for me, he has my business forever. If youíre in the area looking to have work done on your 6.0 you should definitely check these guys out.

I had the same experience. Had a primary fuel pump **** the bed and they replaced that and did an EGR delete while they were in there. Tracked down a short in the climate control system too. Very fair price and quick service.

It was right around $2k for parts and labor.

Parts:
Primary fuel pump = $475
Sinister delete = $200
Oil and filter = $98
Fuel filter = $47
Coolant = $100

Remainder was labor; replace fuel pump, delete EGR (bulk of labor), track down a short in the climate control fan circuit, oil change, coolant flush, fuel tank flush (likely a bad tank of diesel killed my pump). He basically didn't charge me labor for oil change or fuel tank flush.

I had to have it towed in, used a tow they recommended (cheap!) and he had it done in a couple of days.

No bull****. No surprises.
