cylinder walls

We got the heads off today for the gaskets and studs and found front drivers cyl has a little scuff towards the top. anyone know how bad that is, can i just take my hone and run 2 passes down it to clean it up. i'll try to get a pic of it.

looks more like chemical etching from coolant getting in the cylinder. you can try to clean it up with a scotch brite pad.
