Question 6.0 Squeaking and A/C ????

I recently acquired a 2003 Ford f250 Lariat CC 6.0, 2wd, 100th centennial.. The truck is great, so far ive got a 4" mbrb turbo back exhaust and thats it. Now I have a few concerns that maybe you guys can help me with. Truck has 170k Miles. When I start the truck and its cold theres a squeaking sound coming from the front of the engine by the belts...This completely goes away when the truck gets warm.
Next issue is with the A/C .. It only blows cold A/C sometimes maybe 50% of the time while driving from point A to point b. This has me stumped..
Any help will be appreciated.

Squeak could be coming from either the idler/tension pulley bearings, dirty belt, or alternator bearings.

I don't know enough about A/C systems.

same boat, i dont have the squeaky sounds, but a/c blows cold when truck first turns on and while driving but after it stays at a certian rpm for a while it blows what feels like the heat off the engine haha then you give it some more throttle and it chills back up again for another 20 min or so then its warm again...if the truck idles for more than 15-20 min it blows warm as well. any help would be great.

I was having the same issue with my A/C, well almost the same issue. The A/C would ALWAYS blow warm, not too much of an issue here in WA where I'm sationed, but on a warmer day here enough to make it uncomfortable. I recharged my system and it worked like a champ...For about 20 minutes or so. I did some research and found that the air gap on the compressor would get out of whack over time. A REALLY easy fix. After I did this it worked like a champ, and NEVER blows warm air!!! I love it. I got this fix from somewhere, either here or on the Nation. Hope it helps. SpringerPop's Compressor Clutch Air Gap.

wow that doesnt seem to hard at all! im guna have to try that out! i dont think i even own one of those thickness guages is there something else i can use to compare that too?

You can pickup a cheap 1" micrometer from sears for around $20.
