Cracked Nozzle Tip. Cause?

Hey guys,

In your experience, what have you noticed to be the reason why some nozzles crack? This injector only ran a couple thousand miles.

Looking into some possibilities aside from it being a faulty nozzle.

If o-rings break (in the back side of the injector) and the injector floods, is there any way that this could cause break the tip off?

Maybe contaminated fuel? Improper installation? Or maybe the frickin engine was running at pressures way too high? Can this happen? No idea!

I know it's tough to say, but any info based on your experiences would be helpful.

Thanks.

Water in the fuel hitting a hot nozzle tip can cause this.
