So your saying the dash pod is worthless? Is that how it is attached to the dash, stuck on? I can't decide between the dash pod or pillar mount because both have their flaws and I'm picky.

Mine stuck just fine. I cleaned the dash with alcohol, stuck the Velcro pieces on and let them sit for a bit then I stuck the dash pod on. It's been stuck just fine for almost a year now.

Mine has been on for two years no issues. Did you clean the area before you applied the Velcro patches?

i ended up getting loctite adhesive tape. it is similar to two sided tape, only there isnt the weird foam core. it is pure compound. holds like a rock. LoctiteŽ Power Grab Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape (1360350) - All-Purpose Glue - Ace Hardware

I had the same problem. Mine never actually came off I just did not like how it felt up there. It never felt solid. I went to Lowes and got 4 binding posts and used them to secure the bracket to the dash and then used it to secure the pod to the metal bracket. The only down side is I had to drill 2 small holes in the dash, but since I plan on keeping the truck it should not be an issue and if I do have to take it off they can easily be filled with black epoxy. He are some pics to help make it more clear.

I decided I liked the pillar pod and didn't even both with a dash pod. I got it when they had the rebate for the free dash pod, so I bought the CS with the pillar pod and installed it, then my vendor took the free dash pod back for credit when I got it in the mail. It was great.

Here is a pic, sorry it was a bit dark so crappy quality

Daggon, I woulda gladly taken that dash pod off your hands. Did you mount it when you had it? I'm trying to get enough opinion about the two to choose between them. I realize you have the CS but still similar. I just can't decide which to get.
