HEAD WORK WITH STUDS

hey guys i'm doing studs and gaskets at my house, whats the spec on head work max milling, i heard .008. also can the heads be milled with the valves in the head. just want to make sure before i drop them off thats the guy knows what he's talking about.

up to .008 off deck
valve guide clearance .002-.0027
valve recession .013-.027 it is preferred by some to be .026-.030
valve height is 2.225-2.230 after milling
try to set @ 2.220 for proper lifter preload

Only thing I can add is that you can take off as much as .010 as long as the head is at least 3.74" thick when you're done.

I had mine milled recently and only had to pull the rocker box off the head. valves were recessed enough that they werent a problem.
