Problems with head gaskets

I had a few problems on my Ford truck. The head gaskets were leaking antifreeze. It also had EGR system failures. I took it to a local auto repair shop in Placentia, CA called Orange County Studebaker and they did a pretty good fixing the problem. I found out that this seems to be a common problem with a lot of these trucks. Have they fixed this problem on the newer models yet?

Im guessing they put new HG's (OEM HG's or some aftermarket junk?) on and ARP's ? Do you know if they took your heads to check for warping, flatness, pressure checked for cracks, ect... and most likly get milled? And if so how much was taken off them ?
