Compressor removal in place?

One of my friends has a pmax and had a little boo boo, now he has to replace the compressor. We worked on it a little today and got the compressor loose. Not too bad more room than we thought back around the downpipe.

My question is can the compressor housing be removed without pulling the turbo? Most of the bolts look straight forward but the bottom looks a little hairy. I figured acouple u joints should do the trick but wanted to ask. Trying not to remove the turbo if possible.

We found out the hard way the turbo compressor cannot be removed in place, flippin' 2 bottom bolts. He's sending it off to have a lly wheel and 13 blade turbine installed. Here's a pic of the damage.
