If the passenger side valve cover says 2003 it's an early 04. If it says 2004 then it's a late 04

Just see if the motor has an 04 motor sticker on it. You can also check to see if the ICP is on the passenger side valve cover.

Your 6.0 must be a late 2004 because your user name is 04.5pwerstroke.
But seriously, check your driver's door or driver's door jam for the manufacture's label. Build date prior to 09-22-2003 is an early 2004. Also, like previously mentioned, check valve cover decal and ICP location.
