turbo replacement?

Quick question, how often does a factory 6.0 turbo need to be replaced?
or the real question is, at one point can a turbo stop working?

Turbo can stop being effiencent..I had 160k on my factory turbo. NEVER cleaned never taken off..i finally had to replace it due to a problem with it and actually putting a newer turbo ddint fix my problem but my original one had lots of shaft play and it rubbed the housing a little bit so i needed to replace it anyhow...They should easily last over 200k if maintained and not put into high boost situations like mine was...
