Question Should I Buy

Hear so much about 6.0 problems. Would I be going wrong in buying an '06 model?

I love mine...a lot of the 6.0 owners on here will agree. I have the last year of production of it...so, most of the bugs are "supposedly" worked out. A lot of the problems were in the early years as with most new design engines.

Now, that doesn't mean if you start modding the 6.0s, you'll be fine...you might be asking for trouble if you go to far without taking care of certain weak points. I knew that going into it.

I would become a premium member and have an Oasis report run on it, that way you'll know what has been done to it.

If you get it....you'll love it for sure!!

absolutly not. After the 04 year they got almost all of the problems worked out. I drive an 05 with 115 on it and i am very happy with it. to me feels better then the two 7.3s we have at work.

the 05 has some known gremlins too.. HPOP comes to mind.. or better yet the fittings for it or something.
but the headstuds are the major thing to consider when you start modding.

i would get an oasis report on the vehicle you are planning to buy, and if you dont want to spend money, i will tell you where to get the oasis for free, usually takes one day or two at most.

i'll probably get stoned to death for saying this.. but i wished i could take back my 06 6.0L, its got 38k and has spent the last 2 weeks in-out of the shop, just took it back in today for head gaskets, which really bums me out.. if i had it to do over, i'd go w/a dodge
