Buddy's new truck
Hey everyone,
A good friend of mine just purchased an 03 6.0 auto 4x4 last night. He's owned a few dodge cummins but never a ford do you think he will be happy with the ford commpared to the dodge as far as pulling power and performance all together? It has 140k miles, new turbo, head studs, egr delete, 4 inch TB exhaust, an afe stage 2 filter and an edge tuner. He's ordering gauges for it ASAP. Since I have no experience with the 6.0 I was hoping you all could give me some tips / good advice as to what else my buddy should do to the truck to make it good and reliable. Does he need to ditch the edge for custome tunes and if so who would you all recommend? Are there any other things to look out for that can go wrong on the 6.0? I read something about the oil coolers? Any help would be great! Thanks, Evan |

Read all the write ups..
I'd go with the edge cts set up and get the egt prob with starter kit . |

Forget the gauges and recommend a Monitor (I like the Edge Insight CS). There are a few core things that can't be watched well with a traditional guage.
I recommend him also reading the following: Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD. Write Up: Bullet-Proofing the 6.0L PSD. Its starts with the monitor, let the truck tell you what to address from there. Any questions, let me know. |
