Thoughts on Potential New Rig?

Howdy y'all,

I was wondering what y'all think about this truck I found local to me in Houston. It's a 2007 Stampede Edition. I had never heard of this truck, but did a little research and it's just another edition like a Regency or something similar. Apparently, it's only available in the TX and OK region of the US.

I'm planning on going out there tomorrow to take a look at it and drive it. Then potentially talk price. If they're willing to do what I want them to, I was thinking of contacting either Powerstroke Magic or Diesel Innovations to have them do a 3rd party inspection on it and see what kind of condition it is in.

Also, I have someone who I just sent the VIN to for an Oasis report to see what they say about the truck's service history.

I'm just curious as to what y'all think about the price, any issues you see, and what to look/listen for when on the test drive and what to make sure I speak with the diesel techs about if I get to that stage.

Priced a little on the high side. I bought my 2008 F350 from them. They doctor/edit their photos btw, so I am glad you can see it in person before signing anything. They go by Dnmotorcars and Everestmotors. Here is their website. They buy a good bit of 7.3's and 6.0's at the auctions.

Yep...I wasn't going to pay more than $20,900 for it. I also had my buddy pull an Oasis Report on it. It's been to various dealerships in the Houston area 5 times in it's 103,000 mile life and all of them have been for major engine problems. EGR stuff, low fuel pressure, low compression, turbo problems, loss of boost, black smoke, white smoke, all kinds of crap. Seems as though the previous owner didn't take care of it and I'm not looking to inherit someone's problems. Thanks for your information though...let's me know that there are good deals to be had out there. Just wish I could find one that was deleted and studded!

Exactly...that's the only reason I even considered it in the first place.
