It's a hole cut in front of the air cleaner, w/ some type of screen over it, to allow the intake to breath easier

Some people do small holes to avoid putting a screen in it...

On a side note
People say the notice no difference when doing this. So say good in theory but doesn't work who knows.

It's a free mod yes I did it.
