just bought a 2005 f450 4x4 manning conversion dually
i just bought a 2005 f450 manning conversion 4wd dually. this truck is kinda what got ford to build an f450 with a factory dually bed. the truck only has 66k miles and was a one owner. it has never had a programmer and is all stock. i plan to use it to pull gooseneck equipment trailer. i usually tow around 12klbs about 400 miles a week for work.
i really like the truck, but i want to make it more reliable and add some power. i am looking at the edge cts for gauges. i do plan on deleting the egr and later on head studs. i was wondering if the edge cts will work on this truck, it doesnt list it on sinister diesel, just the 08- f450. is this truck different because it was originally a cab/chassis? |

According to the Edge website the Insight units are marketed for all 6.0L trucks, so I don't think you'd have an issue. If you need confirmation on that, I'd contact Edge.

thanks colo dually, ive been reading a lot of your posts and they have been very helpful.
i have always been a ford guy, but i used a cummins for my work. im just sick of the dodge falling apart around the drivetrain. im ready to try me an f450. i have always thought they would work very good for what i use them for. i have had 5 (7.3s) one 6.0 (before this one i had bought a new f250 in 05 only kept it for 12kmiles) and one 6.4 (bada$$ tuned). i would have bought an 08 f450 but i didnt want to spend $30,000 on a work truck. thanks eric |
