Tool Box: Black or Chrome?

I've decided I want a tool box for the back of my truck, but I'm sure if I want chrome or black

Does anyone have a Dark Shadow Grey truck with either a black or chrome box on it just so I can see some pics?

Also, opinions are welcome on color choice y'all think would look best!

I have a stainless chest-style sitting in the bed of mine. Level with the bedrails, so its hardly noticed. I thought about spraying it before I bolted it, but since I am keeping the polished rims and bumpers, I think it looks good.

It doesn't appear I have a pic, however, I'll get back to ya on that.

I have a black low profile box on my Grey truck. This is the only picture I can find. If you'd like a better one I can take it Tomorrow

I wouldn't go diamond plate style for your truck if you decide not black. Stainless would be better for what you have currently.

I guess it doesn't matter so much if it doesn't go over the bed rails but I want one that does because I'm getting a low profile one that doesn't o all the way down to the bottom of the bed so I would like the few extra inches up top.

So far I'm leaning towards black diamond plate.

Are you recommending the smooth stainless style or the diamond stainless?

Pictures would be best in this case. I jut want to see what each one looks like on a DSG truck before I commit to one.

I was thinking smooth, if, you are going shinny! Either way, if, you are going black. Or, if you wanted to spend the extra cash, powder coated matching grey.

I went diamond plate because of the King Ranch diamond plate running boards.

You have a real nice clean uncluttered truck. That color in, my opinion, looks great that way.

Smooth stainless box just to match what you have for running boards and rims. Black will hide better overall and keep the clean look you have going.

It's a tough decision. Then it's floor mounted or rail to rail.

Floor mount, lose most of bed length for carrying anything flat and long. But wont make the bed look shorter than it already is.

Rail to rail, will still leave some bed length under the box. But, will make the bed look even shorter.

Just some of my thoughts.
