Oil Cooler bad or Not???

Ok so I posted a while bac about my deltas being off 20-25 degrees!

Lil History:

New oil cooler with studs and the whole deal!

Then my trans cooler inside my radiator decides to bust so it fills all my nice ELC with tranny fluid. I get a new radiator and do all the flushes. I am talking restore, simple green, and all.

Get my new gauges in and my deltas are running 20-25 degrees difference.

Well the past few days we have got alot of rain and with the cooler temps my deltas are running down around 8.

So who Knows?

Outside temps: 98-105 degrees

ECT 188-192 EOT 208-213 sometimes maybe even a lil more

Outside temps: 73-80

ECT 188-192 EOT 194-200

Have you checked to see if your fan clutch is functioning properly?

Just curious, did you back flush the oil cooler after all of the regular flushing was complete?

Ect seen fine. Your oil cooler is done. Sorry! Outside temps.do not affect your eot that dramatically. especially if you ect doesn't change. This means your oil cooler is clogged and. Not cool efficiently enough to maintain the proper temp. Just make sure your running to test properly to get accurate readings. 55-65 mph for about 30 min unloaded on flat surface the delta should not be 15° or more. If so that means your cooler is bad and needs replacing (recommended) not flushed. Flushing is basically for lower delta's that still pass. You could try flushing but it most likely will not yield the desired results.

I did a reverses flush recently and it seemed to help the temps not build so quickly! But today it warmed back up and they were back to around 18!

Yeah, I had already planned to do an oil cooler because of the bad deltas, but then I saw these reading so I thought be better to ask! I just dont want to put an oil cooler on and have a bad water pump or something!
