New Aftermarket Dorman Oil Cooler for the 6.0 Powerstroke Part# 904-228 $164.99 Ebay

I was just looking on ebay this morning and happen to stumble across this new oil cooler for our 6.0 that Dorman just released according to their website. The best part of the deal when purchasing it off of ebay the price is $164.99, and this includes free shipping. This sounds like a sweet deal! I see lately all the other sellers on ebay are charging at least $250 for the oil cooler and shipping. I just happend to replace my oil cooler a few weeks ago on my truck, but I used an OEM cooler. I wonder if Dorman happened to engineer the oil cooler better than the OEM cooler's that are known to plug up easily. Anyone here use one of these new Dorman oil coolers yet? That is the company selling it but I don't think it is aftermarket. Send them a message or give them a call and ask. For that price I might just buy it my d@mn self just to have a spare.....lol

I'd be interested to know if it is indeed an aftermarket cooler or just an OEM cooler. Either way, I'm watching it on ebay.

DORMAN Part # 904218 egr cooler 185.00
DORMAN Part # 904228 oil cooler 157.00

These are available through rockauto.com.

Just bought a 06 f350 a couple days ago. I was also wondering if these parts are good.
Looking to do this as well.

the egr cooler is different for the later years ( and yours is alreaty made like a bulletproof model) but I thought the oil cooler was the same ?

The 06 egr cooler is bulletproof? New to the diesel scene. Why?

I am interested to see how their oil cooler is as well. I just saw yesterday that they are making FICMs as well. I wonder how those are.

The 06 EGR cooler is not bulletproof. He was referring to the early '03 coolers which were a different style and were much better made.
