03 Excursion HVAC Outage

Greetings All,

2003 6.0 Diesel Excursion.

Noticed today that my HVAC panel beneath the stereo is dark, no display. Pushed all the buttons to no avail. Based upon what I've found, it would appear fuse 28 on the panel would be the associated fuse, and it's good.

Open to suggestions for direction of next pursuit.

Mine just died on me too, like 30 minutes ago! Came here searching for a fix and found this thread.

Turn your headlights on and off and the display will come back. Sounds crazy but it works.

Mine's working again. I didn't have to turn the headlights on and off, I just got back in after lunch, fired up the truck, and it worked.

Craziest fix I've ever heard of, but I'll be danged if it didn't work!
