Well I got back from Daytona on Sunday night and my truck was sluggish to start. It has been getting slower lately. I decided to have the batteries checked out at autozone and as I suspected one was dead. Problem is, the one good battery had a positive cable that was about to snap in half from corrosion

I took it to Ford right away in Kannapolis, NC to get it fixed right. Well $50 later and I was off to autozone. Popped the hood to put the new batteries in and WHAT A MESS! They sprayed the terminal off apparently and there is crap EVERYWHERE as well as some tool marks. I was expecting them to replace the cable but nope; they just cut the old end off and crimped a new one on. I could have done that for 5 bucks! At this point I got my new batteries installed and went back to Ford. I spoke with the service manager but he claims that that is a good fix and had some excuse for the mess. I chewed him out about leaving a mess and how appearance is everything to the customer. He didn't even offer to clean up the mess!!!! $330 later and I have two new Duralast Golds and a patched battery cable. To all who live in the area here, don't waste your time with those idiots at the Ford dealer in Kannapolis. I am truly disappointed that they do not do quality work and that is what I thought that I was paying for.
