Just my Luck.
Long Story Short:
Wife picks up my truck and drives 3 hours to deliver it to me so I can see it, feel it, touch it. After all, I did buy it sight unseen. I had buddies check it out for me and so on. Anyways. Go I see it, it wont start. Turns, wont fire. Send it to the nearest Ford dealer. The dealership where I bought it (not ford), serviced it with an aftermarket oil filter. A little plastic spacer piece came apart inside and made it all the way into the IPR valve. $1000 to fix with labour. Of course the place where I bought it picked up the tab, and after I got back from my vacation, I was able to drive my truck for about 30 minutes happily before it went back home with the wife, and me back to work. Funny part: Everyone made fun of me for buying a Six-Leaker. This just made more of the fun making. Even I laugh about it. Reminds me of that scene from blues brothers where they park the car and it dismantles itself. Im guessing I'll need an HPOP soon. And an EGR Delete and Oil Cooler. Might as well do the headgaskets while Im in there. Question: Wheres the best place online to buy OEM ford parts. I want to do studs and the whole nine, but I want to use OEM parts. |

there are two ford dealers on the big 3 forums that cut us a huge discount Tousley and Sunrise
check out the vendors section on PSA (power stroke army) and PSN (power stroke nation)I didn't see them listed here as far as filters deiselfiltersonline is the cheapest ,, your selling dealer did u right but make sure your oil temps aren't the real cause of that filter failing Last edited by ZMANN; 07-07-2012 at 08:07 PM. |
