what does the 100,000 mile warrenty cover is it just the engine , or drivetrain also.?

powertrain items only, the tranny is part of the drivetrain.

I believe it's for the engine only. Powertrain is usually 3yr/36,000mi unless you buy an extended warranty. I got a 7yr/75,000mi on my powertrain(just in case).

100k on engine and emissions related parts. 36k bumper to bumper. tranny warranty is up after 36k.
