New Ford EGR install question
I was replacing the oil cooler and decided to replace the EGR cooler as well. I have the oil and EGR cooler installed but I have an extra blue o-ring that I don't know where it goes that came with my new EGR cooler. My truck is an 03 6.0 and I wanted to check on here before I finish putting it back together to make sure I didn't miss something.

That's what I thought but the one that was originally on there was black and a lot skinnier. Is it an updated o-ring?

Do you have a snap fitting on the tube ? (Early 03)
That O ring is for one that it held down with a bolt and plate at the base of the tube |

You can see it on this Pic: Turbo Oil Feed Tube, Ford 6.0L Diesel

Ok. Mine is different than that. I will post a pic of mine when I get back to my shop.

The oil supply line connection to the oil cooler cover is different in the early production '03 trucks. It will look like a large nut on the line itself and lacks the collar that the newer style has.
