Temp alert - Trans temp sensor issue?

My cts has been giving me some crazy Trans temp readings. Truck wasn't even warmed up and the temp was spiking from 130 to 250 to 200 back and forth. Would this be from the sensor, the insight, or something else?

If it is also causing your factory gauge to peg back and forth, I'd wager its the factory sensor.

You may also get a trouble code. My guess is it is your trans temp sensor. Pretty easy to change....need to remove pan to do so. Keep the drain pan under it because you'll probably lose another half quart or so when you pop it out.
