OK....now what???

So, about two weeks ago I got a deal on my 2005 KR CCDRW - good enough that the bank said it was "rough wholesale." Naturally, I was too excited to do the research and background investigation that I should have done - no scan gauge, no oasis. Just a Carfax that showed nothing but oil changes every 7500 miles at the selling dealer in Laurel, MT.

On Monday, the scan gauge arrived from BPD. Deltas average around 8* with some fluctuation depending on the time of day, traffic, or how I hold my mouth.

Today I managed to get an Oasis. Both the Ford dealer (Medved in Castle Rock) and I were shocked - not a single warranty claim EVER in 134,000 miles.

So...what do I do now?

My thinking is to plan on the FICM going to Ed - it's usually at 48.0 but wanders down to 47.5 or 47.0 on a whim.

Next, I'm thinking the EGR cooler (BPD?), the oil cooler, and the STC all at once since I'll be in the neighborhood. Coolant flush, filter, and ELC would also be included.

Finally, the Atlas 40 seems to be a lot of bang for the buck, but nothing more...I'll be pulling a 28' Argosy (think Airstream) on occasion.

I'll ask for gauges, etc., for Christmas.

The wisdom of the Org. would be appreciated.

Thanks!

My .02 is that your ficm is good. Mine hits 47.5 and once and a blue mon 47. If I remember correctly below 45 is when you should worry.
