Does anyone else 04 headlights suck?

The low beams are fine but when I switch to high they suck. They don't reach out very far and I lose the shorter distance illumination. Any suggestions like different bulbs or maybe replacing the assemblies?

My '06 beams reach out pretty good on high, but I do loose some short distance vision with them. My old 250 had fog lights and that really helped with the short distance lighting. Ask Raul from Stealth automotive about maybe a different bulb option, he carries about everything from Recon. Might be worth a shot.

I put the Sylvania Silverstars in my car. They made a huge difference. They were about 50 bucks for all 4 bulbs in my car at Walmart. You might give those a try. I was thinking of picking up some for my 06.

I have used Silverstars in the past with excellent results. Especially in my snowmobile.
I was thinking it was more of a reflector problem rather than a bulb issue in my truck.
Raul,
Will your HID kit give true HID lighting like on my Linclon LS? Is so wow, they illuminate half the county..........Best headlights I have ever had on a vehicle bar none.
Also, seeing that the price is the same for your two kits, what are the differences between the 6000 and 8000 kit?

as for your first question Yes... these things are bright as hell.... prob get a few people pissed off lol... and the diff between the 6k and 8k is color.. the 8k being a lil more blueish tint.. the lower you go the more white and brighter they are... i also carry 5k Kits that are almost pure white and VERY bright....
