No steering stabilizer?

Is it normal for these trucks to come from the factory without a stabilizer? I was looking under my truck the other day and knew something was missing but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then realized my truck doesn't have one. Normal?

My XL didn't have one when I got it, and the tire side mount was bent in on itself. Though I'm the 5th owner . I just bought the Skyjacker kit with tie rod mounting plate/hardware included for around $70.

I think it is worth it. Single is good, double is better. Most especially with all the threads popping up lately about worn out steering boxes. Bigger tires, absolutely.
