Oil temp sensor voltage
Is there an acceptable operating range of voltage for the oil temp sensor?
I recently took my truck to the dealer because my diag tool was showing 40-50* deltas...and they did their troubleshooting and filed a report of no more than 9* deltas... My tools reading a Eot of 225* with a sensor voltage of 0.77-0.72 v. Does this sound right? |

How does the ECT sensor read? I think the 2 sensors are the same. Could swap them and see what happens.
ECT sensor: ![]() EOT sensor: ![]() Same number on each. |

I've used different tools but all weren't able to read Eot so I don't have a comparison yet...the ect all read within 2* of each other so I'm pretty confident the coolant temp system is good.
