What else to look for when buying a 6.0?

I'm thinking of looking for another 6.0 truck to use around the farm. I know that when I go look at/drive a truck I'll need to take my CTS with me. I figure I'll check the FICM, ICP, EOT vs ECT at operating temp doing 60 or so, Tranny temp, trouble codes and that sort of thing. I am leary of blown HG though. How can you tell if a truck has blown or leaking Head Gaskets? Residue in the overflow? Hissing sounds? I'm trying to cover all of my bases. I didn't know anything when I bought mine, and had to do the general 6.0 fixes a few weeks later. I'm trying to avoid that now. I love my truck, NOW. I hated it for a little while. What else can you guys and gals recommend that I check out? I'm not in a huge hurry, but I am going to start looking around. BTW- IF I can find one, I'll probably flush the coolant system and change the oil cooler right after that. My truck never showed over a 10 degree delta and it ruptured anyway. I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Check for oil leaks around the bell housing area as well as the rear of the heads/manifolds. A lot of them leak there.
