why hate on a 6.0? funny

i was filling up at local quicktrip today and a guy in a cummins with the looks and sounds of a wannabe bada$$ pulls to the pump across from me and goes and perpays for his fuel. when the ole boy returns he asks me if my truck was a 6.0. i told him yes and for some reason he freaked out, saying how terrible and useless a 6.0 motor is. just being a complete ahole degrading anyone who drove a 6.0, its was pathetic. i just wanted to stand there and debate over how excellent my motor actually is and i would bet money that it would do twice as good as his so called cummins would do. well the funny part was i guess a man oversaw him degrading the 6.0 and when thew guy left and he told me that " hey sir wasnt trying to overhear what that man was saying to you but that is one of my co-workers, and he is just mad because he raced a 6.0 with just a tune on it and smoked his cummins clean." how odd is it to have someone tell u that just after the cummins man just completly ripped on my truck. that made my day right there.!!!

Why do all cummins, dodge truck owners act this way? they drive a truck with a "Old tractor engine" ! The technology has got to be 35yrs old.

They think that just because they drive a truck with the "legendary" cummins makes them better than everyone else.

I personally haven't had a lot of experience with this, but I am a new 6.0 owner. I can't really see talking trash about a 5.9 Cummins, they have the reputation of reliability and power for a reason. Owners are fair game as I can't defend a d-bag. I may be biased as I have had 12v's in the past and have a '93 12v I am going to swap in to my '83 GMC when I get some more time. I like them both a lot for different reasons.

Proven motor = yes! Owners like little ricers in some cases more than not = yes! Its kind of like when people hate their neighbors dog.... They dont really hate the dog, they just hate the owner, the dog gets the hating tho... I know I have a bad taste when I see that C badge. Not because of the motor but because of the owner….

Personally I like the Cummins, wait, the 5.9 not the one with more warranty claims than a 6.0, claim vs. truck sold.

Anyway Cummins motor to me is like a Chevy 350. Tested, true, and any low IQ dirt ball can put them in anything! Cummins owners mostly seem to be disrespectful in many cases unless they are 60 years + wearing a straw hat. I am stereo typing....however stereotypes come from a perception. Most cases perception is a reality.

Cummins - great motor!
