Remote Start

I would like to add a remote start to my 06 6.0L, but I don't want to have to use two remotes, one for keyless entry and one for the remote start. Anyone have any info. On a single remote aftermarket system?

I had a CompuStar system installed. The CompuStar remote replaced the factory remote so no need for two remotes.

I bought one from CarToys. I have a 15 second delay, not the 30 sec as originally programmed. You can leave the truck running while taking the key out which helps with turbo cool down. I ve had it for a few months now and it works just fine. And I only have one key fob that controls the remote start and keyless entry. Two fobs are provided.

HERE IT IS

It cost around $250 installed.

Is your Viper a two-way? Is a two- way really needed?

by two way to you mean the remote being a pager when the alarm goes off. then yes. If your asking if its an alarm remote start and door lock and unlock system then yes.

Python makes a decent system, and they have an app for the iPhone called "directed" that can serve as your key fob - meaning, you can lock, unlock and start your car with your phone!
I have the python system, but not the app. It's an additional $150-$200 I think. That is hard to justify spending right now. I'd rather put that money into other mods.

Best of luck with your decision
