Need a mechanic (wrench symbol)
Wrench symbol came on and went into limp mode on my 2007 F350 6.0 80,000 miles while towing the other day, Was on a steep grade with the turbo boost around 32psi, Had towed the same grade prior without a problem on several occasions. Pulled off the road and turned the truck off and then restarted and the truck ran fine. I need to find a good mechanic in Northern California (northbay). My warranty is out because of the five years. I have read several posts on the possible causes and its way beyond my means.

Any idea what your EOT temps were? Could have an oil cooler clogging! making the temps run up to high!

You need to invest in a monitor, check as the ScangaugeII may be able to pull codes, I know the Edge Insight CS/CTS can. (The monitor is the only modification to these trucks that I fell is 100% required of every owner from day one.)
That monitor has saved me a lot of time and money in the short time I've had it. Had you known your oil temps, you would have been able to let up on the grade and not have the truck go limp on you. (You must have exceeded EOT of 254* to trigger that.) |
