Ordered an Edge Insigt... Come on!

Sunday morning I sat down with a cup of coffee and ordered my Edge Insight. I also ordered the expandable version pyro and the 100 psi pressure sending unit to go with the EAS as they call it.
Now this is the part that is a little annoying. I was not reading enough to see I also need the $140 piece of wire to hook that up. I assumed that the starter kit to make the system "EXPANDABLE" meant it would take my "EXPANDABLE" pressure sensor.
The other part to this is to find out ... "Do I need the EAS UNIVERSAL SENSOR INPUT or don't I?"... I called the friendly people I bought it from. He asked me several questions about what I ordered and put me on hold each time. He assured me that I did not need this and don't spend the $140.
I have learned since then .... I do need the expensive piece of wire.
I'm not mad at the guy with the blue horse head. I'm just trying to get the info out there. It's been discussed on here before too. I just didn't catch it.

Did you make sure you got the starter kit egt probe that has the wired to connect the eas sensors to the edge?

That's why I never got the fuel press for mine. Was about 200 extra. Do you have an adapter to go into the test port or a billet filter cap

I am in the same boat. I am about to order an Edge insight CTS (part #83830) and get the expandable pyrometer with the EAS ( thermal couple part # 98603). I thought that this was all you needed to have the insight read your EGTs. Am I wrong? Is there more I need to get?

Just make sure it's the starter kit egt probe. That will have what you need and then all you need is the tap and bits for the install.

You do need the universal sensor input part number 98605 to use the fuel pressure sensor. I have it and IMO it is worth it. Yes it's pretty pricey to get it going but once it's hooked up you have an awesome, accurate, digital fuel pressure gauge tied right into that Insight.

Oh and just to make it a little more expensive, I recommend you get this adapter as well.

6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter
What he said.

So you have to order the:

Edge
Expandable EGT probe
pressure sensor harness
pressure sensor

It does suck $$$ but it works great especially with hose from strictly diesel.
