Batteries
I need new batteries. Charging per scanII is fine. Are optima recommended, or are they a waste? Do I just need a good 750 I think it is HD cranking amps?
Thanks in advance! Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app |

Interstate heavy duty. They make a special battery for a 6.0, due to excessive heat from motor.they have been going strong for 2 years now on my truck..

Interstates. Optimas seem to have problems in our rigs for some reason. At least that's what the general concensus is on this forum.

Nearly four years on my Interstates right now. But my original Motorcrafts lasted over five...

I went through 2 sets of Optima's in 2.5 years. I wouldn't recommend them for our trucks.

My go-to recommendation these days are the Die Hard Platinums. Pretty tough to beat a rebadged Odyssey PC1750. Odyssey batteries > *

They're tough to beat. Especially given that they won't fail on you if you happen to fully drain them. That's a huge perk, especially with the dependency of the FICM health on the health of the batteries.

I have the auto zone gold batteries, they have been good for over a year now. They were recommended to me.

Can't beat deka batteries! I should know I work for them, had a set in my rig for a while now no issues!
