What causes that beautiful sound?

Shortly after buying my 2004, I slapped on a 4" turbo back. Its pretty tame sounding-until about 2000-2200 rpm when it just erupts under any sort of throttle, especially with a load, then quiets back down. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun next to rock cuts and overpasses. But what causes that sudden explosion of engine sound?

It's when your turbo spools up and dumps about 20 psi into the engine.

Correct me if.I'm.wrong but I believe it when the turbo.vains are completely open is when you get that v8 rumble

I say torque peak. My old 302 F150 did the same thing right around it's TQ peak when it had longtubes and true duals.
